Cathy McGowan AO is the heart and soul of the Community Independents movement in Australia. Cathy was the first Independent MP for the electorate of Indi our north-eastern neighbour to Casey, elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2016. She forged the path for grassroots campaigns, unleashing the power of community in politics. An author and award recipient, Cathy's warmth and tenacity is enigmatic.

In 2004 Cathy was made an Officer of the Order of Australia "for service to the community through raising awareness of and stimulating debate about issues affecting women in regional, rural and remote areas."

Places are limited for this wonderful opportunity for an intimate conversation with Cathy.
